With the Tech Industry Booming, San Antonio Tech Job Fair Set for April 11



At a glance: 

  •  The Tech Job Fair will be held Tuesday, April 11, at The DoSeum, from 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Participating companies searching for talent include Liquid Web, Accenture, Swipe Track Solutions, Harland Clarke, Easy Expunctions, and more
  • The deadline for job seekers to register is April 11 at 12:00 p.m.

 

As the tech community in San Antonio continues to grow, so with it comes new job opportunities and positions to be filled. The bi-annual San Antonio Tech Job Fair is set for Tuesday, April 11. The doors will open to the public at 6:30 p.m. at The DoSeum (2800 Broadway, 78209).

Interested job seekers are required to RSVP to attend. Visit www.codeup.com/jobfair to register. The deadline for job seekers to register is April 11 at 12:00 p.m, however, spots may fill up prior to the deadline. Therefore, early registration is encouraged.

Positions will be available in a variety of fields in the tech industry in areas such as web development, software engineering, network administration, tech support, web design, and digital marketing & advertising. Gold sponsors of the event who will also be seeking employees are Accenture, Easy Expunctions, Swipe Track Solutions, Harland Clarke, and Liquid Web.

In addition to Codeup and Geekdom and gold sponsors of the event, participating companies include Open Cloud Academy, RealCo, CPS Energy, Alamo Colleges, Koedal Mobile Development, Tech Bloc, Labatt Food Services, Denim Group, HEB, Encore Support Systems, and Futurex, all who share the goal of bridging the gap between tech talent and demand in San Antonio’s tech scene.

Event Details:

Presented by San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside (SAGE), with the generous support of University Health System and Valero, Taste the Dream is not your traditional gala. Featuring Chef Jason Dady and six additional local chefs, guests will enjoy cuisine from around the world, as we celebrate diversity through food.

Scheduled the week before Martin Luther King Day, SAGE spotlights the work of economic development on the Eastside to honor the dream of strength in diversity. In line with this, SAGE has partnered with the City’s World Heritage Office to highlight San Antonio’s Creative City of Gastronomy designation from UNESCO. San Antonio is only the second city in the United States to earn this distinction, and the first in Texas.

Food stations throughout the Mays Family Center will allow attendees to enjoy great conversations with friends and chefs. Guests can dance the night away with live music, an open bar, and specialty craft cocktails.

Funds raised by our Gala will be used to support economic development to champion quality of life for individuals, families, businesses, and non-profits on the Eastside.

Elder Stephen Anderson is a native of South Bend, Indiana presently residing in suburban Detroit, Michigan with his two sons; Stephen Jr. (20) and Shawn (17). Who both serve with him in Ministry

Introduced to music at an early age, this minister continues to grow in the grace and knowledge of God and it is evident through his music ministry. The anointing on Elder Anderson continues to be affirmed by God through the success of his ministry efforts. In recent times, Elder Anderson has written, vocally arranged, co-produced also Featured as Guest Lead Vocals on the music project for the two times How Sweet the Sound® winner and Chrysler Corporation Ambassador Larry Callahan & Selected of God. After spending a decade and half as an Elementary Teacher and Education Coordinator for Public school in The United states and United Arab Emirates, Michele knows what truly drives conversions, business growth, and branding —and it’s not mastering the marketing $avor of the week. It’s how well you connect with the heart-beating people you’re trying to help and communicate After 15 years as an educator, Michele decided to follow her dreams and start her own event planning company B Michele Events. She launched the company while still teaching in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in 2013 with the help of a few friends. She has gained valuable expertise working with agencies, corporate and entrepreneurs in the UAE planning and hosting signature events as the co-founder of MBT Promotions.

Since then she has planned, marketed and produced over 20 shows in San Antonio and around the country in the past 4 years.
