Mary M. Dennis was born in Newton, Mississippi. Mary’s father served in the United States Army and the family traveled throughout Europe and the United States. The family moved to San Antonio, Texas when Mary was 15. Mary, also known as “Little Mary” is the daughter of Mary Wyatt, the former owner of “Flowers by Mary”.
She is a Sam Houston High School graduate, a paraprofessional with the San Antonio Independent School District and completed a Mortuary Science Associate Degree at San Antonio College. Mary is passionate about the education and safety of our children. Mary is also a licensed Funeral Director having worked for both Sutton & Sutton Mortuary and Lewis Funeral Home. She helps wonderful people make difficult decisions and provide assistance during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Mary has found both of these professions to be very rewarding.
Mary has received numerous awards, but her most noteworthy accomplishment is being chosen to serve as Mayor for the City of Live Oak in the June 12, 2010 run-off election. She is the First African American to serve the City of Live Oak in this capacity. Prior to her Mayoral election, she ran twice for council seats in Live Oak and was defeated each time by a few votes. As destiny would have it, Mary was given the opportunity to complete the council place terms both times as the elected council person resigned. Mary Dennis says “It is about not giving up and being determined. This is something she learned from her parents – to never ever give up. Whatever your dream is – go for it!” Currently Mayor Dennis is serving her second term as Mayor of Live Oak, Mary desires to bring the city closer together across varied backgrounds. Mary believes that government is about helping people, being a good steward of tax dollars and making City government more efficient.
Her additional civic activities includes service as the Vice President to the Northeast Partnership, member of Randolph Metro Chamber, City of Live Oak Economic Development Corporation, City of Live Oak Planning and Zoning Commission, Bowden Charter of Business and Professional Women, San Antonio Commission of Literacy and Mary is a charter member of National Council of Negro Women – Ruth Jones McClendon Chapter. Ms. Dennis also served as Commissioner on the Mayor’s Commission for the Status of Women, San Antonio Livestock and Rodeo Public Affairs Committee, the Martin Luther King Jr. Commission and President of Pearls (Professional Business Women). She is a member of Livingway Christian Church.
Mary epitomizes the power of persistence as well as the incomparable power of an abiding faith in God.

In 2008-09, All Sports administered the strength and conditioning program for the Division II college Senior Cactus Bowl All Star game in Kingsville. Today All Sports Speed and Conditioning continues to train athletes to elevate their athletic performance to the next level in all sports.

James Chappell III got his start in music at the age of 4 years old. John A. Harris, his grandfather was a major influence in
his life. James’ soulful vocals are rooted in growing up in church and leading many of the family’s gospel songs. He’s been eager, wanting to use the gift that God gave him.
During high school, James won various awards, including best male vocalist at Bloomfield High Gospel Show in 1995. James was a major influence in helping his school gospel choir receive awards in multiple talent shows. As James matured, his love for various genres of music grew. Listening to Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke and others inspired James to begin writing and arranging his own songs and for others.
2013 proved to be a good year as James was a contestant on the TV show “The Winner Is” and won with his performance of the Bruno Mars smash “If I Was Your Man”. He’s also performed at the Willie Stargell celebrity golf tournament. James strives in furthering his musical career using his personal life experiences to encourage and inspire people to live their best life through music. That musical journey includes true love relationships, heartache, songs of faith, hope and trust in God. James is looking forward to carrying the Harris legacy into the future and hopes that his music will soon be heard around the world, lifting up the name of Jesus and touching people’s hearts!
